Nevada does not have a common law marriage. You must try for palimony under a contract theory.

Nevada doesn't recognize common law marriage. That being said there was a case a few years ago where the Nevada Supreme court recognized a community property interest given the facts in that case. The couple represented they were married, the women changed her last name to match her signifcant other's name, they bought property as husband and wife, signed tax returns as husband and wife, had insurance as husband and wife, etc. If that is your situation you can argue that you fall under that exception.

Common law marriages can no longer be formed in Nevada so unless the marriage was formed a very long time ago or in another state, there is no common law marriage. While no new common law marriages are recognized, if your marriage is recognized where or when you were allegedly married, Nevada would continue to recognize it.
