Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

complaint of divorce isuue

my husband just served me with a summons for a complaint of divorce which he filed in Clark county Las Vegas and i reside in San Diego, CA. In the papers it states that we will have no spousal support to give to each other, which i am not seeking anyway and that i will b given my maiden name back. so if i don't respond because i don't have money for a lawyer or filing the papers which I've seen the prices for, will it be on my records or anything legal besides the fact that i am now divorced? I'm thinking about not responding and just to let him take care of it because there is nothing to gain or lose now. i just want it to be over and by doing this he made it hard for me if i am going to answer b/c i do not have the money. PLease help..thankyou

Re: complaint of divorce isuue

If you do not respond he will get a default divorce. This means that the status of the marriage will be dissolved. The Court will make no other orders because it does not have jurisdiction over you personally.
