Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

minor child trying to stay with non-custodial parent

my best friend just lost a jurisdiction case to his ex who wants to take their 2 minor daughters back to Ohio with her. the older one (almost 16) wants to stay in Nevada (she would get a scholarship here and all her friends are here), furthermore Ohio provides a really grim outlook on her future. What can she do?

If your friend has already litigated a custodial issue within Nevada you would have to file a Motion for Reconsideration within 10 days of receipt of the Court's Order.

If there are still unlitigated issues, you would need to file a Petition with Family Court.

Contact my office if you'd like to schedule a consultation to discuss your matter.
