Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Nevada

If my backyard is actually viewable from the street because the house is on a corner, is it still subject to privacy laws (e.g.- neighbors not lawfully allowed to stare into the back yard)? Thanks

If what you are doing in your back yard is in "plain view," there is no reasonable expectation of privacy that could prevent anyone who happens by to look over and see it. If you build a 6' solid fence that obstructs the view and they still can see it, then it still is in plain view. If they can see it without entering your property (trespassing) or otherwise invading your privacy, they are fully entitled to see what is right before their eyes. If the neighbors have second-story windows that peer down into your back yard and you cannot mask or obscure their view, you STILL have no expectation of privacy. Your only solution for folks looking into your yard is to roof over and enclose a portion or otherwise ruin their view of the yard. Unless and until you do, you really cannot prevent somebody looking at whatever is right there in front of them to see.
