Can I be fired for being in jail when I was in contact with my employers during the entire process?

Generally, you can be fired for any reason or no reason at all, so long as the employer does not discriminate based upon age, race, color, national origin, gender, sex, religion, or disability. However, you might be eligible for unemployment benefits to assist you until you can get back on your feet.
