Liability from Law Suit

My son is 21 has own car title is in his name has is own car insurance he full time college student. He lives with me in Las Vegas in my home. If he has accident am I responsible for him can I get sued God forbid if he should have a car accident because he living with me in my home does that make me liability for him or should he move out and get his own apartment

please advise thank you

If your son is over the age of 18, has his own car, pays his own insurance, and has title and registration in his name, he would be solely liable for any accidents he may cause.

The only exception to this would be if you co-signed for the car with your son; then you may be held liable if there are outstanding loan payments on the vehicle.
