Is it possibly to file a homestead

agreement on an investment property in

which you do not currently reside??

You can file the homestead but if you get sued and they try to take away the house, you must be living in the house to get the protection. However, a lot of attorneys will see the homestead and might not file the lawsuit because they see the homestead so it is a cheap asset protection tool.
