Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Nevada

Ex- refuses to give up rights to a timeshare he's not paying for.

What options are available to me if my ex-boyfriend refuses to give up rights to a timeshare although he has not contributed to it financially? I have documentation showing that all payments even the initial payment come from my account. I also have a letter signed by him stating that he gives up his rights to the property but when the time came to sign the official papers he refused.

If you are the sole party providing the financial means for the time share than your boyfriend would have no legal rights to rely on in enforcing property interest.

Nevada is a community property state, meaning that real property owned by one individual could only be partitioned if the other resident is a spouse. Your ex's status as merely a boyfriend gives him no statutory property rights without a marriage relationship.

You can file a Petition to Quiet Title in the District Court of your county to enforce said rights. My firm is located in the Las Vegas area and frequently handles such matters.

You could file a Petition To Quiet Title in District Court and a Judge could strip him of his rights under the title to the time share.
