Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Nevada

Rental laws

My wife has a rental that we are falling behind on the mortgage. There is a lease that goes to Jan 1 with Section 8 housing. Her property management co. isn't willing to help us out.

The renter is not keeping up the yard and has had a person living in the house for 5 weeks. Both of these are against the contract. The management co. says that she gets the opportunity to fix the yard.Is there anything we can do to kick her out early?

Re: Rental laws

You may initiate eviction proceedings against a tenant if they are in material breach of your lease contract.

I cannot tell you if you have grounds for an eviction without looking at your lease contract and speaking to you about your tenant's actions.

My office offers individual consultations for $100.00 in general legal matters like yours regarding tenant-landlord disputes.

One of our attorneys will sit down and review your lease, discuss your tenant situation, and guide you through the Clark County eviction process if necessary.

Contact my office if you'd like to schedule an appointment with us.

Best Regards,

Jim Herbe
