Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Nevada

self-appointed administratrix stops delivering inheritance payments

My husband's grandmother died in Reno. Prior to her death, she had set up annuities for her great-grandchildren to be dispersed upon their graduation from high school. Her daughter placed these in her own name, listing children as beneficiaries. 3 months after grandma died, daughter sold them and will not divulge info as to the amount or whereabouts of the money. What legal recourse do we have? (There was no will probated.)In addition, this daughter told her only sibling he would get monthly payments on his inheritance. He received 3 payments, then his sibling moved, and she refuses contact with him. She claims the money was invested and the man with whom it's invested is going bankrupt. Should we attempt to have assets divided between sibling through the courts, and how can we obtain financial documents since she will not give any info to family?

It is difficult to answer your questions without more information. The first place to start would be with a review of the documents establishing the annuities. Please contact our office for a consultation.
