work release needed to go back to work?

twisted back, directed to er as our wc clinic was closed that day. dr on duty felt my back and sent me home with 20 flexeril and said to be off work in bed 4 days. employer said to go to same dr. to get work release but wc rules say only one visit to er allowed. should i go to my reg. family doctor or back to er? back still hurts. this is 3rd day off. thanks, annie

If you need additional medical treatment and wish to have it involved in your work-comp claim, go back to the ER that treated you initially.

I would advise you that to report a work comp claim there are certain forms you are required to fill out, such as a C-1, C-4, etc.
