Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Hampshire

I recently purchased a used car and was issued a 20 day plate and the dealer also did a nh state inspection and put a new inspection sticker on it. two weeks after the purchase i brought the car in to a garage because i could feel a pull to the right in steering. the garage said the car would not pass inspection because the rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced, and they also found 4 other faults that failed inspection. there is now about $2000.00 in repairs to pass inspection. i was not told of any repairs to be done by the dealer, as i said, they put a sticker on it and said "you're all set " is this a deceptive practice?? what is my recourse?

You are in New Hampshire, so your re-course is slim. However, I am one of only a handful of consumer protection attorneys in the State and we may be able to help. Although is no used car lemon law in NH, and so I recommend that all used car purchases be done in MA, where you actually DO have recourse, here in NH we do have law specific to Inspection Sticker fraud. I have used that law in the past to make used car lemon law claims for consumers. Feel free to contact my office for a further review of your case.
