Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Hampshire

My husband took a cart full of stuff out of a store i was at the store too the other end i had my kids and had no idea what he was doing, i went there to buy a few things not to have him walk out with them and he did walk out i didn't even know he did it until loss prevention came up to me and my two kids and took me in the back room abduction told me what my husband had just done. I had no idea. He's never done this before has nothing on his record.what could happen to him. Or even me. I honestly had no idea i was actually walking around the store looking for him i couldn't find him so i had him paged. Apparently i couldn't find him cause he was no longer in the store

If the state cannot prove that you knew your husband was stealing, you will be acquitted. It is not clear if the State charged you. If there was a loss prevention officer, there likely is video of the incident which could help your case.
