When a tree on my property grows branches that touch my neighbors shed, who is responsible for cutting the branches?

The general rule is that your tree encroached on his land. You probably have the duty to mitigate the encroachment on his land. There are exceptions to this rule and more facts might change the result or offer alternatives to this general position.
