Employment discrimation

I went on a three month medical leave from work due to a disability.When i returned to work i noticed a marked change in my treatment from my employer.I was treated differently than other employees in a way that seemed discriminatory.I was made subject to antagonizing surveillance,severely diminished work hours,unjust scrutiny of my personal performance,a negative preformancy evaluation and written up for bogus violations.I was eventualy fired.I belive my employer created a hostal work enviromnent when they learned i have a disability.What can i do?

The first thing you should do is render the facts regrading your situation in writing that outlines your disability or perceived disability. Then you may file with the EEOC or the New York State Div. of Human Rights if you have determined that you suffered discrimination as defined under the law. See EEOC.gov After all of this is done or if you feel that you have a strong case, then seek legal counsel. You should be cautioned that attorneys get many telephone calls during the day from people who wrongly feel that they have suffered discrimination.
