Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I have criminal charges of theft by deception from my previous job. They held me in a room with a large intimidating guy and basically forced me to state a number even though I know for sure that is not the amount that I took. I am a Deans list college student without a criminal record who made a mistake. I was in a bad position. I am scared and do not know what to do.
