Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Greetings,

I was stopped by a detective in union city new jersey and was found with one bag of heroin (.1 mg). I was arrested and told if I cooperate with them i.e. giving them information regarding who sold me the heroin, that they would "forget" about my possessing the bag and I would get off. I have two prior marijuana misdemeanor charges and I am very much worried. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
