Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Type Your Question Here...3 Years ago my husband was accused of child endangerment and or possesion of lewd images on his computer. his computer and other items were seized from our home. they said his computer and items were going to b sent off for computer forensic work. We called the prosecutors office who was handling the case a year after it occured and they said it was still under investigation. so we waited all the wayuntil yesterday to callthem for a update of the case. they told my husband that his name wasn't even on file in their system which doesn't make a lick of sense to me. my question is is it possible the investigation was closed not long ago or did it move up to the fbi. if it did doesn't the prosc. office still need to have his name on file.

Shouldn't this be a question that is answered by your attorney? I'm a little confused as to why he doesn't have one yet.
