Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Kidnapping or Runaway?

My exhusband planned and executed a runaway scheme for my son (his former step son) whom he has no legal right to (he never adopted him). He bought my 14 year old son a prepaid cell phone, told him to dial 411 for a taxi, and take the taxi across the state line into New York. My exhusbands mother then picked up my son and drove him to my exhusbands cousin's apartment where he was hidden from me for 2 months. Both my ex-husband and his mother denied any knowledge of my son's whereabouts when questioned by my lawyer and the police. My exhusband lives in Florida and my son was visiting with his 2 brothers when this plan was hatched. Is this considered a runaway case or kidanpping?

Its really up to the police. If you are really concerned about it, report it to them and see what happens.
