Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Hi, we are getting married in state of Nevada but will be living in New Jersey. Which state is our marriage under, as in which laws do we follow, jersey or Nevada. And whatever the answer to that is, in that state, I am going to be responsible for the legal bills my husband to be acquired before the marriage, or does he have rights to the house I acquired before marriage?

Not sure if you are asking a divorce question, but in general, your rights and obligations are determined by your state of residence, no matter which state you were married in.

Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me. There certainly may be other factors that would change my opinion. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. Since it appears that you have not retained an attorney, you should contact a Family Law attorney to discuss your matter in more detail. Only then will you be able to rely on the advice. Good luck!
