Her priority date may not be current yet, meaning, the U.S. Embassy might not be able to interview her yet because there is no immigrant visa number available, based on the date her I-130 was filed.

Assuming you're petitioning your wife who's residing abroad, and there are no inadmissibility/waivers issues... The current priority date for the spouse of an LPR is May or June 2014, depending on the country, so her petition should be current. After you submit the fees, forms, and supporting documents to the NVC, it takes them about a month or two to review it. After they've completed reviewing the forms and documents you submitted, they'll send you a notice letting you know they've completed processing the case and sent it to the consulate where the interview will take place. Have you received that letter in the mail or via email? If not, then the NVC may still be processing the case, and you should contact them directly to find out the status. If you received that letter, then the case is just awaiting an interview, and how long it takes depends on the consulate where the interview is taking place. The consulates' websites sometimes post their wait times. If you'd like the assistance of an attorney with this matter, I'll be happy to help you. My office is located in Newark, NJ.
