Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New Jersey

products made with copyrighted tools

I am interested in using rubber stamps sold in craft stores to create greeting cards, etc. The rubber stamps are copyrighted. Do I need permission from the copyright holder of the stamp to sell my products? If so, how would I go about contacting the appropriate person?

copyrighted stamps

the answer is "yes" if the copyright is still valid.

Easiest way is to contact stamp maker and ask them for the name of the copyright owner of the stamp design. Failing that a copyright search, but that would be terribly expensive and maynot produce results.Good luck
