"Is it a violation if an employer punishes an employee for a mistake they made by taking away their benefits for 3 month probationary time period, when this employee has been paying for them out of their salary in the amount of 576.00 a month for 2 yrs?"

That's probably to be a violation of the employment contract if not a State statute or regulation.
