Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

I currently work in hospitality where we do not get breaks or a lunch. We always had a table and chair in the office for us to sit down and have a quick bite. Today they removed the table and chair and said we are no longer allowed to sit down nor eat during our shift. I have a medical condition that they are aware of that I have to eat week few hours. Can I do something about this?

Of course you can do something. First, make sure that you have a home copy of all personal manual and other information regarding your employment. Second, write a very courteous letter to your employer outing your problem and possible solutions. Next, get an in person consultation from an attorney should your employer refuse to discuss your situation. Good luck!
