Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

Aggressive Assault!

My 15 year old son finished doing homework at my house w/ the friends. Left and went inside an abandoned house with the 2 girl friends to �hang out� play and fixing an old doll�s house, cleaning up the floors with a broom, when a man screaming he was the owner of the property started biting him up, punching him on the face for more than 5 minutes cruelly! He tortured him hanging head down from a hole on the second store the house. The police came, saw him hanging upstairs when my son was calling ''here come help me!'' through the ceiling. After asking my son all the questions and taking the man to the Police car, his girl friend that could escape and dial 911, called me, but the police never called me and asked him all the questions without we parents being present. They act as he was there smoking, stealing, No way! He was tortured, punched many times on the face, put up against where there use to be the walls with rusted nails, all scratched, bleeding, bruised, he can't move his one arm, other shoulder and back, rips all over the shirt, and the guy was released tonight accused only of simple assault? HOW COME? Please tell us what to do tomorrow when we are suppose to go to the Police Department. My son was shaking the whole night!
