Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

i slipped and fell last februar yon the icy/snowy sidewalk at the condo complex where i live. i filed a claim with the association's ins. co. and the landscaping co. i collected disability while i was out of work . do i have to pay the disability back? the association's ins. co. has paid all out-of-pocket expenses back to me. will my insurance co. (bcbs) come after me for money after i get a settlement? i have been dealing with the asociation's ins. co. and the landscaping ins. co. all on my own. i have been dealing with my own ins. co. by myself, also. it seems like the 2 ins. companies that i filed the claim with are going to go in 50/50 on the settlement and make me an offer. i have not felt the need to talk to a lawyer, but am concerned about paying back any monies after the award. what is your advice on this whole matter? thank you for any feedback. lisa

Great questions.

You do not have to pay to pay back State Disability benefits from the proceeds of third party settlements. I suggest you check with your agent on the reimbursement of BCBS. There are some insurance plans that have reimbursement provisions?

How will you know the value of your case, without the assistance of an attorney? Here's a link to an article I wrote on the subject you may find helpful on the subject.
