Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

My son and I were Crossing the parking lot (near the crosswalk) of Pathmark when a car hit both of us. I have no memory of it, I was knocked unconscious. Besides the person who hit us, can I sue the store? Shouldn't they have speed bumps?

Thank you for your inquiry. I was saddened to hear of your circumstances and hope that you and your son have recovered from your injuries. If a shopping center fails to utilize traffic control devices (including signs, speed bumps, lights, etc.) in areas where the general public may be at risk, and it results in an accident causing permanent significant injuries, the owners of the premises, and possibly others (tenants, etc.), may be liable. My firm has handled numerous such claims. Please feel free to contact me or one of my partners to further discuss your potential claim; (973)635-5400. We will assist you in whatever way possible.
