Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

Hello. I currently have property that has been passed down to me from my father and property that I purchased from my money. I have two sons. My elder son is not under my control and he has made verbal violence against me. I do not want to pass on any of my property or any of my ownership to him. Do I have to pass my property to him or I can leave him out and not give him anything?

Thank you.

In NJ you are not required to leave property to anyone, except that a spouse is possibly entitled to a portion of your estate. However, a child can be disinherited and has no statutory right to an inheritance. This must be properly provided for in your Will. I can assist you and you need merely to contact me directly (973) 377-3313.

You can do almost anything you want to with your property, but you need to make sure you follow the rules. I've been helping people take care of these situations since 1991, so I am sure we can do this together.

Either call me at 215 510 0680 or write me back at [email protected] so we can get started.

Mike
