It could amended down to a 2 motor vehicle point speed or perhaps no point ticket. Why not see what you can accomplish by going to court. 85 is Definately too fast so make sure you find out what the judges policy is with respect to a speed that high. It is good that you were not clocked at 90 or higher, but make certain that you will not be facing a possible suspension of your driving privileges. Check it out and see how you make out on your own.
