Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey
My mother recently passed away in New Jersey. I was living in the house (that I believed to be the matrimonial home) because she had asked me to move in and take care of her which I did for three years. As soon as she died, my brother the administrator started making trouble and eventually got me ejected from the house even though I was specifically named in the will. I asked for an explanation and did not receive one. I thought adjudication of an estate could or was not supposed to render someone homeless or indigent. I have an amended birth certificate which I was assured was no problem but without further explanation appears to be
I have begged for a reason and I get none is there anything I can do.

Why does it matter if the house was the "matrimonial home"...Was your mother married? If so, is her spouse claiming he owns the home?
How and why were you "ejected" from the home? Was there a court case?
What do you mean "amended birth certificate...which I was assured was no problem" ... what problem?
Most importantly....What does the will actually provide? Are you left the house... or a percentage of the estate? If the latter, you have no right to stay in the house indefinitely, as I assume it must be sold and the proceeds divided.
