Is a power of attorney drawn up in Georgia valid in the State of New Jersey?

Probably the power of attorney is valid, but no one can tell you without actually seeing the power of attorney frankly, if this more than a few years old, I would suggest you updating it anyway because many people in financial institutions will not accept an old power of attorney.
