Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

Hello, Is a 'will' that has been made in the US and is legal in the US also legal in Trinidad?

Does a husband who has been separated from his wife for over 30 years have any claim on the property of her will?

Possibly. It all depends upon Trinidad law. A NJ Will may not even be valid in another state if the laws for executing the Will are different. The general rule of law is that if the spousal relationship is such that either spouse could file for divorce they might not be able to contest a Will or claim any part of the property of the other spouse. This might be different if more favorable facts existed.
