Amount of time district attorney has to prosicute

I was pulled over one year and two months ago for dui, blood work was done and i was released to my brother who is a cop. A.what is the time limit if I was arested? B. what is time limit if I was not arested and detained for blood work? I have been told they can still file case if I was not arrested at the time. T

Once a complaint has been filed against you, the case must be prosecuted in 6 months. However, if no complaint has been filed, the state has 2 years to file the complaint in a misdemeanor case and one year to file a complaint in a petty misdemeanor case.
