Legal Question in Family Law in New Mexico

I'm a new attorney. I've been asked to take over a case because the client is not happy with their current attorney. I'm in a situation where I don't have any other local attorneys to talk to and I'm trying to figure out what I need to file to enter an appearance as the new attorney of record or if its considered a "substitution" of counsel...?

Last time I was replaced, the new attorney just entered a one page substitution of counsel. I've never done it myself.

I admire you for asking advice. Generally, when in doubt, I just take what seems the most likely path. If you do it wrong, you do it over. Call me if you want to discuss anything. cell is 505 280-3110.
