Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New Mexico
I would like to recycle old greeting cards by cutting them up and using the pictures from the cards in making jewelry. I would be using the actual cards, not making copies or reproducing it in any way. Is this ok since they are not in the jewelry business and so it would be 'non compete'?

If the images on the cards are copyrighted, as with Hallmark, then you may not legally use them without the permission of the copyright holder.
