Legal Question in Legal Ethics in New Mexico

I was in the process of getting a home loan, the loan officer that i was dealing with had his car broken into. My file with all the info a home loan needs like social security numbers, bank stsements, etc was in the car and was stolen. Is there anything i can do legally to the indivdual or company?

If you suffer an economic harm because of the theft of your records, you may have a negligence suit against the bank and/or the banker because of the failure to safeguard your vital information. If you see signs of identity theft, contact a civil attorney at once. The State Bar of NM will provide you with a list of qualified attorneys if you don't know any.
