all appelas are accpeted

I;m appelaing a decison order date Aug 2, 2006. I' m just appelleaing just one portion on the ruling: accoring to the Court decison I will have to make a payment Sep 30th, if the notice to appel is 'file aug 14th, does the case stay until de Court of Appeals decides ?
