What are the differences and/or benefits of an LLC having DBA's versus an LLC owning seperate S-corps?

The DBA has no independent legal identity separate from the LLC whereas setting up different entities like an S corp or other LLCs create a liability shield which may be very important to avoid any cross liability especially if you are operating very different channels of business here.

Of course this requires the expense and effort to set up and administer different legal entities. I would need to understand all your objectives before I could offer any actionable advice on this.
