Legal Question in Business Law in New York

fighting unemployment

In New York State, we have some pretty strict unemployment laws. In this circumstance my employee was consistently written up, and showed no work ethic what so ever. How do I fight the unemplyment case because it is unethical that this worker should recieve benefits from my business.

The NYS Unemployment will send you a questionaire asking questions. Just make certain that you detail why she was fired and add documentary evidence to the reply.

You may have to go to a hearing in this matter. You do not want your unemployment insurance rates to go up because of a false claim.
