Legal Question in Business Law in New York

I signed a 1 year lease to rent an in line store in a mall January 2015. The plan was to renovate and prepare to open June 1, 2015. The leasing manager intentionally caused us to miss the opening deadline because she knew another tenant offered more for the same location. I was notified June 5 that I had to move out. The mall provided another store I finally opened August 2015 and I have Summer clothing I can't sell and losing lots of money. The leasing manager came in my store and started a fight in front of customers and threatened I better not leave in the middle of the night or you will owe me a lot of money.

To properly answer your question the lease has to be reviewed. Without reviewing the lease not much that can be advised.

You should retain an attorney, if anything just to review it and provide you with options. I provide inexpensive document review which will give you a clear understanding of your rights and responsibilities.
