Legal Question in Technology Law in New York

I am involved int the middle of a dispute of 2 friends in a child custody case. During the last year I was secretly talking to the mother without the fathers knowledge about what was happening with him. Unbeknownst to me she was secretly recording my conversations as well as the conversations of several other mutual friends. she notified me of this the other day and said she intends to use them in court. I asked her to not use anything that i said or than she recorded but i believe she still intends to use them. I believed that what i was doing was with the understanding that my name was to never come up or anything i said used in court, that there was an understanding that this was only between the mother and myself. I never gave her permission to record and did not give her permission to use anything she has from me. Due to the fact that the father and I are still great friends despite his faults as a father if these recordings were allowed to be heard it would cause severe issues between us. Is there anything I can do to prevent her from using these recordings???

Unfortunately for you, New York is a state that allows single party consent in recordings. So unless there is something unusual about the way in which the recordings were done the recordings would be admissible, assuming they are relevant to an issue at trial.
