Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

my daughter borrowed 4,000 from me interest free loan. She paid back 1700 cash. She refuses to pay the balance of the loan. Th term was 3 years. The 3 years was up Feb 1 now the balance is due . This was a verbal agreement and my other 2 daughters know of the loan and also my wife. I called her and I have a taped message on my phone that she refuses to pay the rest. Can I take her to small claims court? Do I have any grounds to stand on.

Yes. You may commence a small claims action for the return of the remaining amount due under the loan. The small claims action must be commenced in the jurisdiction where your daughter is located.
