Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York
In my divorce my ex husband was ordered to make the payments on my son's student loan in my name. The loan is now in default, what can I do to protect myself.

File a petition for contempt. In the meantime, if you want to protect your credit, pay it current and include that amount for reimbursement in the petition for contempt.
