Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

I received a credit card in someone elses name a few years ago without ever applying for it. I did however cash a couple of bonus checks by forging that persons name. I have been making all the min. payments on the card since then by money order without revealing my name. If I call the card company to confess to this to hopefully have them transfer the card to my name, how much legal trouble could I get into. Thank you
