Re: Expunge Record

A certificate of relief from disabilites from a felon;y conviction is possible but must be brought in the State of New York where the conviction was.

The certificate does not remove the conviction. The conviction remains on your record forever. However, it removes any barriers of employment, voting etc.

Feel free to contact me if y ou have any other questions.

Re: Expunge Record

If an expungement is possible for any or all of your records of conviction, it would have to occur under New York law where the offenses were committted rather than that of Virginia. (You may wish to consult a New York criminal practitioner regarding the certificate of relief and any other questions which you may have regarding the process.)
