Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I am a high school senior, graduating tomorrow, and am supposed to call the school next week, after graduation, to talk to the dean of students to set times for a school punishment of community service at the school. The punishment is for a senior prank in which I posted his car on Craigslist with his name and phone number. I'd like to know if the punishment can legally be set in place after graduation, meaning I am no longer a student at the school, and if it can be and I object to the punishment, what charges could he press, if any?

Why not just apologize, meet with him as agreed and accept whatever punishment he deems acceptable? After all, he didn't press criminal charges and probably wants to see if you've learned anything about responsibility from this experience. Trying to weasel out of it won't bode well for you -- now or in the future.

Good luck!
