Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I am being investigated by my last employer for embezzlement. I was fired on Jan 11 and wrote my last paycheck. i cashed my check and it was for the 2 weeks of work in Jan and for the 2 weeks that were held back in the beginning of my employment. the amount was $2400 ($600 per week) nothing more than what I was owed. I did not cash it immediately, I waited a few weeks. She does not want to pay me me. I was contacted by detectives in NYC about the matter and I am told to go in on Thursday for questioning as this is under investigation. They tell me that there are no warrants for my arrest. I wrote all of the checks for the company including my own for a year. what should I do?
