Legal Question in Discrimination Law in New York

Wont give me a job

I've been trying to get a job in a store for 2yrs and never once have I recieved a phone call or anything. Everytime i go into the store it has new employees, all of which are spanish and im black. i often ask about the test i took and if it was submitted and told they are waiting for more people to apply but everyone who works there started after i applied. i applied for the job 3 times and the first 2 times i was told my application was lost and they had no more test, which in fact the test or answer sheet in allowed to leave the store. I was told by an assistant manager that if i was not a friend of the manager or a cute female i could hang-up getting a job in this store. There is no other race but spanish working in that store and thats all i've saw work there for the past 2yrs. i know this cause i am a regular customer at that store. its not an education job just general knowledge. it's not privetly owned and says EOE. do you feel this is discrimination or not?

Re: Wont give me a job

this could be a case of racial discrimination. i recommend filing a complaint with the EEOC or the New York City Commission on Human Rights (212)306-7500
