Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I had to evict my 17 year old son from my house. He was threatening me with physical violence and vandalizing my home. I only allowed him to retrieve his things once I called the police to be present.

He is staying with a family friend of his mothers. His mother lives in mexico, his other blood relatives will not take him in either. Am I responsible for him financially? I currently have full legal custody. We live in New York City. He will be 18 on May 2nd 2010.

Even though his mother lives in mexico (she is currently receiving child support from me for our older son) she says if i dont provide support she will take me to court.

What are my options?

You are responsible for him financially until he turns 18, whether or not he poses a physical threat to you. That is a short time period away from now, anyway
