Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I have full sole legal and physical custody of my kids and my ex is trying to stop me from moving out of state can he legally do that? He only has supervised visits upon agreement.

The short answer is he can try. If he does not consent, you have to get the Court to give you permission to relocate. This can take a long time, depending on where you are. You need the help of an attorney to get this done and it is not an easy feat. A lot is riding on his relationship with the child.
